Here are a few photos from a Cyclocross race at the Velodrome Park near Boise recently.

If you’re wondering what Cyclocross is, it’s a winter cycling sport in which riders do laps on a short course with steep inclines, jump over barriers, and race for a certain time period plus a certain number of laps, using modified or custom-built road/mountain bikes. I recently traveled back to the south to cover a wedding for some old friends. Cristi and Andrew actually met in Russia at an orphanage workers conference, and it turned out that Cristi had gone to college at Davidson, about a half hour from where Andrew grew up in Charlotte!
