I’ve been so busy lately! Here’s a couple of photos I shot a couple of weeks ago with my brother David at an engagement shoot – you can see some of his takes here… Thanks for looking, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on them!
I still have a few spots open for this wedding season… I’ve been tossing the thought around for a while, and it seems like a good time to give it a try – I’d like to give away some wedding photography!
The basic idea is that there are a lot of really great couples who for one reason or another – because they want to adopt, they’re pastors, work for nonprofits, or a myriad of other reasons – would otherwise have to go with a budget wedding photographer and hope for the best. So in honor of them I’d like to give someone the chance to have a pretty decent photographer for free!
- I’d like to have some extra time to do portraits with you on the wedding day – so I can use some nicer lighting techniques, a few extra poses, or maybe take a few minutes and use a large format camera for a change.
- I’ll include a CD of the wedding photos at 4×6 resolution and an online proofing gallery, for a grand total value of about $2250. Any albums, archival prints, or higher resolution images you might want to order through me are at the standard rates.
- If you’re from out of town or out of state you can still enter, but I would ask that you cover any travel costs I would have on the trip.
- Enter by e-mailing me at Photo@AvalanchePhotography.com. Include your name, mailing address, phone number, wedding date, maybe a photo or two, and whatever else you think is relevant!
- I’ll pick the winner on April 16, 2010, and post it here!
Also, If you’re not getting married but have family or friends who would be interested and you have them enter, have them include your info also, and if they win I’ll do a free portrait or family portrait session for you too!
So bring it on! I’m expecting tears, smiles, guilt trips… It’s all fair game, and I’m excited to meet you all!

This is from Mike and Tawnya’s e-session last summer, and we just shot it right in their back yard with their own horses! That’s the convenient thing about having horse trainers for clients
